Assembly of Planning and Policy Inputs (APPI) 2009
Scottish Water and Transport Scotland are currently gathering data regarding planning allocations, development completions, re-development, demolitions and densification for each Planning Authority area to inform our planning and investment decision-making processes. By working together this information will be gathered just once every two years, which will result in improved efficiency for both agencies and planning authority departments.
The information provided by Planning Authorities will be used by Scottish Water for long-term business planning to identify areas of growth within Scotland. The same information will be used by Transport Scotland's LATIS team as input to a Land Use model, the Transport Economic Land-Use Model for Scotland (TELMoS:07) which will inform the management and development of the strategic transport network.
All Scottish Planning Authorities have now been supplied information about the APPI process. This included:
- an introductory email providing
- the APPI 2009 data collection spreadsheet;
- the APPI 2009 data collection questionnaire;
- a list of Frequently Asked Questions; and
- details of Regional meetings held at selected locations.
