Public transport boarding and alighting counts are available for a number of bus stops and train stations in TMfS.

In the model, Public transport survey data are used in calibrating the Public Transport component of TMfS. When the Public Transport Model is assigned, the boarding and alighting by stop and patronage figures are calibrated against the survey data, so that the model provides as accurate a representation of actual travel patterns as possible.
