About
Land-Use and Transport Integration in Scotland (LATIS) is a service offered by Transport Scotland and their term consultants that can assist in devising policy in a number of different areas such as transport, planning, the environment, demographics, health, education and the utilities.
LATIS offers a wide range of support and technical advice and consists of the following elements:
- Modelling - use and support for the transport and land-use model TMfS/TELMoS;
- Planning - the collection and provision of planning data and support to Development Planning Agenda; and
- Data Collection - the collection of transport and travel data and other user specified data through the use of the Data Collection Contract.
One of the key aims of LATIS is to promote user (customer) engagement and needs. For this purpose a user engagement programme has been designed to ensure that all existing and potential users of LATIS are fully informed about any developments with the Service. The programme includes a continuous stream of consultation and discussion events and seeks feedback, advice and suggestions from users and potential users on further enhancements of LATIS.
